Join Julia Zarankin to learn about the exciting world of birdwatching! During this indoor program in the Downsview Park Hub, Julia will share her journey to birding and answer your questions. Please note that this presentation is only being offered in French.
Julia Zarankin’s journey to birding is unusual: they discovered birds and the natural world accidentally during a midlife crisis. As a child of concert pianists and immigrants from the former Soviet Union, nature wasn’t part of their upbringing. When they saw their first bird at the age of 35, the experience changed their life and opened up a whole new world: ultimately birds taught them to be more curious, brave, empathetic and, most importantly, how to live more joyfully.
