Play Zone & Basketball Court
- Our aviation-themed playground opened to the community in October 2017. It features colourful play structures, a basketball court, a sharing circle and more for all sorts of adventures. Check out our gallery to view photos of our Play Zone or, better yet, come by and try it out yourself!
Urban Forest & Boake’s Grove
- Have you visited the forest at Downsview Park? The forest is a beautiful space to explore with a variety of plant species growing in it. Over time, the Urban Forest has become a dynamic and robust ecosystem capable of adjusting to the stresses of an urban landscape.

We’re an established outdoor education centre. We welcome more than 10,000 teachers, community groups and families from across the province to sustainability-focused programs every year.
Nature Connection
- Join us for a FREE outdoor program! Each nature-themed session will get you exploring the natural world that makes Downsview Park unique. This program is family-friendly and suitable for all.
Jr. Forest Explorers
- A FREE nature program for toddlers and their guardians. Connect with nature through hands-on outdoor activities. Let’s get those little hands dirty!

The Hangar Sport and Events Centre
- The Hangar is your go-to facility for youth and adult sports leagues (soccer, ultimate frisbee, ball hockey and volleyball), field rentals and more.
True North Climbing
- A climbing gym with 1394 square metres (15,000 square feet) of climbing terrain. Facility features include 80 top-rope routes, 15 lead-only routes, 12 auto belay stations, over 100 boulder problems and two slacklines.

Coyotes are one of many wildlife animals who call Downsview Park home. If you encounter a coyote, do not approach, or feed them. Make noise and back away slowly. Always keep your dog on leash.
