Each nature-themed session will get you exploring the natural world that makes Downsview Park unique.
Here’s what to expect:
• Each program is 90 minutes
• All ages are welcome but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
• Activities will be flexible and reflective of the participants’ interests
• Nature Connection runs every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, unless otherwise noted.
• If you wish to engage in our programming in French, please indicate it during your registration.
Do I need to register? If the program is free, can’t I just drop in?
Yes, you will need to register to attend Nature Connection.
I’d really like to attend an upcoming session, but I don’t think I can make it for the start time. Can I join halfway through the program? / If I’m running late, can I still attend?
You’re most welcome to join past our start time, but you’ll have to find us (our programs don’t typically take place in one location).
If you know ahead of time that you’ll be joining us late, please give us a heads up at @email. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Can I bring my dog to this program?
Pets are not permitted at this program. Service animals, however, are always welcome.
Is this program accessible?
This program often takes place in the Urban Forest where there are unpaved dirt paths, however, we try to accommodate program participants of all abilities. Please email us at @email for more information.
Is this program also offered in French? How can I sign up for a French session?
Our regularly scheduled Nature Connection sessions (every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month) are offered in English. However, we can offer the same session in French upon request. Please send us an email at @email to request a French session. In the email, kindly include the program you’re interested in.
Downsview Park has and will continue to follow all public guidelines related to COVID-19. The health and safety of our staff and participants is our top priority. Please note that as guidelines change, we may need to adapt our programming. Any changes will be communicated as early as possible.
