This interactive session will deepen your connection with nature and community, fostering a deeper understanding of Indigenous knowledge and cultural safety. Following the talk, warm up by the fire with Downsview Park staff, enjoying marshmallow roasting and hot chocolate.
About Dr. Pamela Rose Toulouse
Dr. Pamela Rose Toulouse is an Anishinaabe scholar and consultant in Indigenous Education and Indigenous Cultural Safety. With over 30 years of experience, she has received numerous awards for teaching excellence, including the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Teaching Excellence Award and the 3M National Teaching Excellence Fellow Award. Dr. Toulouse has authored over 55 resources in Indigenous Education and wellness and is a proud member of the Sagamok First Nation in Northern Ontario.
