Join local land-based artist Alexandra Iorgu for a hands-on introduction to the art of natural ink making! In this welcoming workshop, you’ll explore how to gather natual materials and create inks from materials found in the natural world, while learning about ethical harvesting practices like the Honorable Harvest.

Through shared knowledge and guided experimentation, participants will discover how to work with a range of plant-based inks, including acorn cap, black walnut, red currant, and wild grape. You’ll also learn how to unlock a spectrum of colours from buckthorn, an abundant introduced tree.

You are encouraged to bring a notebook or other device to help you record your discoveries and recipes.

No experience or knowledge is required.
