Ticks in the Park

Park

Be tick-aware! Wear long sleeves/pants, use repellent, and stay on trails at Downsview Park. Remember to check for ticks after walks to be safe.

The best way to protect yourself from tick-borne diseases is to take precautions against tick bites when entering wooded or grassy areas, i.e., wear light coloured long sleeve shirts and pants, tuck pants into your socks, and apply insect repellent containing DEET or Icardin to clothing and exposed skin (always follow label instructions).
