Develop your tree ID skills on a guided walk through Downsview Park. Learn about the importance of native species and how to identify them.
This tour will be led by a group of youth who have been learning about the urban forest through our Young Urban Forest Leaders (YUFL) program! The YUFL is a free training and mentorship program that seeks to support Toronto youth, with priority given to applicants from equity-deserving groups, including (but not limited to) newcomers, gender-marginalized, racialized and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
*Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and don’t forget your hat and water bottle!
The Young Urban Forest Leaders Program is funded in part by the City of Toronto's Urban Forest Grants and Incentives Program and the Ontario Trillium Foundation's Seed Grant.
Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pets are not permitted at this program. Service animals are always welcome.
