Location

Our beloved Monarch butterflies are facing challenges, and they need your support! Every year, these incredible travelers journey thousands of kilometres during migration, and together we can help make their life a little safer.

We’re transforming the south mound in Downsview Park into a vibrant Monarch Mound, bursting with pollinator-friendly plants—and you’re invited to be part of it!

Join the team at Downsview Park for:

  • Guided pollinator walks -learn about the incredible pollinators (butterflies, bees and more!) that live in Downsview Park
  • Hands-on community plantings -Help us plant some Monarch friendly plants such as milkweeds and prairie plants along the hillside.
  • Fun, drop-in activities for all ages - Info table, chalk art and more!

Come get your hands in the soil, learn something new, and celebrate these iconic butterflies with us. Bring your friends, your family, and your love for nature—let’s make a difference together!
